About Us

The Innovation Network has been built by the Social Impact Hub with the support of PwC. The Social Impact Hub brings university students together with industry, not-for-profits, social enterprises and foundations to develop and conduct applied projects in fields of social impact under the supervision of industry experts.

The idea for the Innovation Network originated from the PwC Capital Markets Forum in Sydney. One of the recurrent themes of the Forum was the need for Australia to continually innovate, and for the necessary support to be provided to start-ups to help them thrive. There are a significant number of incubation hubs and support for start-ups from universities and large corporates. However the innovation landscape remains fragmented and people are often unaware of the support that is available. It was identified there was a need for an Innovation Network - a publicly available online platform with the goal to improve collaboration between existing players of corporates, government, university and start-ups.

The student team that worked on this project was Anthony Dubois, Evan Wong, Sophie Kijumnuayporn and Jessica Liang.
